    Much loved wife of Niall, girlfriend of Hannah, daughter of Mandy and Derek, sister of Louise, granddaughter of Val, Sylvia and John, aunty of Ella and a dear friend to many.

     

    Kirsty’s service will take place at 11am on Monday 8th October in the Old Chapel at Manchester Crematorium. Kirsty requested that you wear a band T shirt “beg, borrow or steal one”.

    Much loved son of Sharon and John, brother of Alfie, grandson of Pauline, Jon, Ann and Dave and a loved friend.

     

    Jake’s funeral will be held at 2.15pm on Wednesday 10th October at N.I.A.M.O.S Radical Arts Centre, Warwick St, Manchester M15 5EU.  Followed by a private family only cremation.

    Sylvia’s funeral will take place at 1pm on Wednesday 3rdOctober in The Rowan Chapel at Stockport Crematorium.

  4. Nicola Abbott

    Much loved daughter of Sheralyn and Rick, beloved mum of Logan, Emelia and Archer, adored sister of Daniel, Graeme, Lucy, India, Esme and Harley, step daughter of Barrie,aunty and dear friend.

     

    Nicola’s funeral will take place at 2pm on Thursday 27th September. The service will be held in The Side Chapel followed by burial in The Woodlands at Blackley Cemetery. When you arrive come through the cemetery to the main chapel area. There is plenty of parking there. After the service we will walk a short distance to The Woodlands. Please wear sensible foot ware as it can be a bit wet and uneven.

     

    You are welcome to either bring flowers or to make a donation in Nicola’s memory for Trinity Hospice or The Christie Hospital. Donations can be given t the funeral director.

    Much loved dad of Matthew, Simon and Rebecca, grandfather to Liam, Ross and Erin, brother to Stuart, father-in-law, uncle and friend to many.

    Woodland burial on Wednesday 22nd August at Greenacres Woodland Burial Ground.

    Followed by a memorial at The Old School, Fairfield St, warrington, WA1 3AJ.

     

    Ian was a prolific poet and had a poem for every occasion. Here is one of them;

     

    WHEN THE TIME COMES

     

    Remember me as I was

    not as I will be

    when the time comes

    when my mind and body fail

    and I become

    someone not knowing who I am

    don’t let me be shut away

    but remember the day

    when I flourished and laughed

    and loved you

  6. Philip Sykes

    22nd August 1937 – 3rd September 2018

     

    A much loved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.

     

    Philip’s funeral will take place at 2pm on Tuesday the 11th September at Dunham Lawn Cemetery. The service will be held in the Altrincham Crematorium cremation chapel within the cemetery followed by the burial. The address is Whitehouse Lane, Dunham Massey, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 5RH.     Margaret lived in Sale and was formerly of The Wirral.

     

    On Tuesday 21st August at 12pm a Requiem Mass will be held for Margaret at St. Joseph’s Church, Hope Road, Sale, M33 3BF.

    Richard’s funeral will be held at 10.30am on Saturday 4th August in the Old Chapel at Manchester Crematorium, Barlow Moor Rd, Chorlton, Manchester, M21 7GZ.

    Much loved mother of Jane and Sarah, dear sister of Barbara, Peter, Michael and the late John, beloved grandma of Kyle and Tyler,  and friend.

     

    Anne’s funeral will take place at 2pm on Wednesday 18thJuly in The Woodlands at Blackley Cemetery. The Woodlands is the highest point of the cemetery. Please meet at the large stone that is engraved ‘The Woodlands’ just before 2pm. Unless you have limited mobility please park lower down in a designated parking area. Once gathered at the stone we will then walk together up the hill to the grave. Please note that the ground is uneven . If you have mobility issues please let the funeral director Rosie know and she will arrange for you to get a lift up the hill. Ordinary cars can not do this last part of the journey.

     

    Anne’s family request that you don’t bring bought flowers. Instead either bring a flower from your own garden or make a donation in Anne’s memory for Trinity Hospice. Donations can be given to the funeral director or posted to the funeral home.

  10. Nigel Reynolds

    Loving and loved husband, father, brother and friend.

     

    Nigel’s funeral will take place in the Old Chapel at Manchester Crematorium at 4pm on Friday 13thJuly.  Followed by a celebration of his life at Chancellors from 5pm and later at the family home.

     

    No flowers or donations, consider instead setting up a Lend With Care account.

     

    Nigel would want everyone to be comfortable at the funeral so dress however you wish.

    Much loved wife of the late Michael, dear mother of Moira, Anne, Christine, Richard, Teresa and Frances, beloved sister of Pauline and Michael, loving grandma of Keiran, Claire, Patrick, Rosamund, Catherine, Josephine, Mark, Rachel, Sophie, Michael, Matthew, Ian, Samantha, Amelia, Jo and Dan, great grandma of Theo, Orlaith and Oren, and wonderful friend.

     

    Chair, Central Manchester Community Health Council 1989–1992, General Secretary NUT Manchester Teachers Association 1979-1985, school Governor, teacher, Member of Buckinghamshire County Council 1967-1968 and a life long member of the Labour Party.

     

    Private burial for family and close friends followed by a celebration where we will pay tribute to Pat’s life at  12.00pm on Tuesday 3rd July at The Albert Tennis and Bowling Club, 39-41 Old Lansdowne Road, West Didsbury, M20 2PA  to which everyone is welcome. A further celebration of Pat’s life is being planned for later in July where we’d love you to share your memories of Pat.  Further details to be announced.

    Peter died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness. And of Fallowfield. Much loved husband of Lesley, treasured father of Juliet, Jonathan and Anthony, devoted grandad of Harry, brother of Jenifer and Cliff, a dear father-in-law, uncle and friend.

    There will be a private family committal on Saturday 9th June followed by a service of thanksgiving at 11.30am at St.Chad’s Church, St Chad’s Road, Withington,  M20 4WH  to which everyone is welcome.

    A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at Manchester Crematorium, in the old chapel, on Wednesday the 2nd of May at 2.30pm.

    Thank you to everyone for their kindness and support following her death. No flowers please but if you would like to make a donation in her memory, to support the work of the Macmillan Nurses, please do so through Helen’s tribute fund page,  via the donations box at the crematorium, or send to Natural Endings (please make cheques payable to ‘Macmillan Cancer Support’).

    As ‘purple’ was Helen’s favourite colour, if you could wear a little something in purple, she would love it.

    The crematorium is on located on Barlow Moor Road, Manchester M21 7GZ, and if you’re driving should you find it difficult to park there is a little on-street parking in front of the shops on Barlow Moor Rd and on Hardcastle Avenue, which is within the estate on the opposite side of Barlow Moor Road to the crematorium.

    Much loved partner of Kate, dear daughter of Gillian and Dermot, beloved sister of Colm, Róisín and Niall, darling granddaughter of Alice and Hugh, sister-in-law to Hannah, a much loved niece, cousin and friend.

     

    Áine’s funeral will take place  on Friday 27th at 3pm at Manchester Crematorium, Barlow Moor Rd, Manchester M21 7GZ. Currently there is limited parking at the crematorium. There is a little on street parking in front of shops on Barlow Moor Rd and on Hardcastle Ave within the estate on the opposite side of the road to the crematorium.

     

    Afterwards everyone is welcome upstairs at The Didsbury Pub, 852 Wilmslow Rd, Manchester M20 2SG to share memories of Aine and to celebrate her life.
